Tony Glading set up Professional Cleaners UK at the beginning of 2018 after working in the cleaning industry since the youthful age of 17.
He has always had an eye for cleaning, taking pride in his work and pleasing thousands of clients over the years with his high standards, attention to detail and friendly personality. This is something he instills and requires from all of the professional cleaning teams.
Tony started out in a family run cleaning business in Surrey and for the first couple of years he was very much part of the cleaning team on a daily basis, carrying out both regular and one off jobs in homes, offices, blocks of flats, bars and schools.
Having worked as a cleaner initially, he believes that this allows him a true insight into what customers are looking for and how to make sure that his cleaning teams today achieve leading results time after time.
With Tony’s assistance and sheer hard work the family company went from strength to strength, expanding its client base and number of cleaners to cover London, Surrey & the whole of Southern England.
By the age of 21 Tony was managing an ever-expanding cleaning division; managing large teams, representing them for meetings/AGM’S, marketing opportunities and day to day client facing.
His responsibilities were to not only maintain the current standards of existing contracts but also to promote the company, expand and win new contracts, which he did.
Tony set up new business plans, continued to arrange the day to day works, ensured close relationships with all the companies cleaning staff, arranged rotas and employed assistant team managers to assist him in ensuring the high standards were kept at all times.
After seven years working in the family business Tony was head hunted by a leading joint property management and cleaning company, offering him progression and a step into other angles of the industry. Although it was a difficult decision to make, it seemed a natural fit and opportunity for Tony expand his experience in the industry.
Tony took the jump and a step down in title to Property Manager and Cleaning Manager’s Assistant. However, with his ever positive outlook on life and intention to grow, learn and broaden his knowledge and took the plunge!
Tony was ambitious and keen to make an impact in what was a new working environment and he managed many developments; both residential and commercial. He implemented fresh ideas and new ways for the company to progress and grow; building trustworthy relationships with current clients in the property management sector and in particular he shook up the cleaning division with a complete overhaul on how it was run.
It took Tony a little under a year before his new Directors realised what an asset to their company Tony was and he was promoted to Head of Property Management & Managing Director of the cleaning company.
Over the next two years the Property Management division grew by 200%, expanding and building a trustworthy and reliable reputation. Business minded Tony also secured works and offered the cleaning service from their sister company which more often than not was accepted, offering an in house service for all clients.
Regular site inspections took place with Tony assessing all property management requirements plus ensuring cleaning service was carried out effectively.
After three successful years Tony felt it was time to move on and pursue his own entrepreneurial career.
Having worked himself up from a being a cleaner with his family company through to managing major cleaning contracts he felt he had the skills, knowledge, drive and contacts to succeed.
And This is we find ourselves today!
At the beginning of 2018 Tony launched “Professional Cleaners UK” which has rapidly grown and seen happy customers and clients since the first day.
With his experience Tony's aims are simply to provide the best possible customer service and best quality cleaning standards to match. Tony believes it is his personal experience and love for the job that’s sets Professional Cleaners UK apart from the rest.
Tony’s trustworthy and likable personality has allowed him to grow Professional Cleaners UK at a fast yet controllable speed to ensure a quality service is provided time after time.
Initially just covering London and the South East demand has seen the company grow nationally with cleaning teams in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales & the rest of England.
He has ensured area managers are in place throughout the country, completing site inspections working to Tony’s reputable high standards and still does he own on-site visits.
Tony tries to persoanally get back to every enquiry because no matter if you want a small home clean or a major business he thinks all customers should be treated the same!
1. Why did you set up Professional Cleaners Uk?
I want to provide the best possible cleaning service nationwide, I hope to achieve a status as a recognised household name in the future people can count on.
2. What do you think make Professional Cleaners UK different from other cleaning companies?
Having worked from the bottom up as cleaner myself I believe I have the best understanding of what it takes to deliver the best cleaning service on every level, whether it be the cleaning staff on site, area managers or customer service at the end of the phone. We care for every job and client satisfaction.
3. What is your experience in the cleaning industry?
Wow it’s been 11 years now, as I mentioned starting as a cleaner myself into managerial position back home in a family business. Then moving into property management & helping them run their sister cleaning company. I have many colleagues and friends in the industry I have known for many years whether it be landlords, property managers, letting agents or construction companies.
4. What qualities do you look for in a cleaner?
Firstly the cleaner needs to take pride in their work, attention to detail is key. I ensure all my staff are trustworthy, friendly & hard working.
5. What are your aims and ambitions for the company?
I hope to continue growing & expanding nationwide as we are. Would be great to be known as a reputable reliable company across the country.
6. What gives you satisfaction in your work?
Positive feedback! Nothing beats hearing those happy customers who are just so pleased with the service we provide. I then know I’m doing my job properly!
7. What happens when you get an enquiry?
The enquiries immediately come through to our office and are read right away. Each area manager across the country will make contact if the enquiry is in their area, it may be to just discuss the job in hand or perhaps arrange a site visit to quote up. Either way we act quickly and professionally!

9. How do you like to unwind?
Usually I like to unwind by socialising with friends, dinners & cinema trips. I am also a keen tennis player from a young age so it’s nice to step onto court when I can!
10. Tell us your top cleaning tip!
I would say, use a multi-tasking product, instead of buying numerous products for different surfaces use one that can clean all. For example, a surface and glass cleaner in one or a floor cleaner suitable for both wooden and tiled floors. This saves you time & money!
